April Toyer, DDS, FAAPD is a board-certified pediatric dentist and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She specializes in caring for infants, young children, and patients with special health care needs, offering preventive care, behavior guidance, and advanced  restorative treatment under general anesthesia.
Dr. April earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland in 2007. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Howard University and, in 2011, achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She holds hospital privileges at INOVA Fairfax, INOVA Fair Oaks, Stafford Hospital, Prince William Ambulatory Surgical Center, and Pediatric Specialists of Virginia.
She is an active member of theAmerican Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Association of Hospital Dentists, Special Care Dentistry Association, and the Virginia Dental Association House of Delegates. She also a consultant for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Committee on Sedation and Anesthesia.
Passionate about prevention and positive dental experiences, Dr. April combines skill with compassion to serve each child. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys writing, swimming, playing piano, CrossFit, and practicing judo with her family.
