Dr. Shaden Alfaqih is a board-certified kids dentist dedicated to providing gentle, personalized care for children of all ages and patients with special health care needs. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, she completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Howard University. Passionate about early prevention, Dr. Shaden believes that establishing a dental home early in life helps build healthy habits that last into adulthood. She is an active member of several leading dental organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Ammar Al-Mahdi is a board-certified orthodontist known for his genuine enthusiasm and passion for creating confident, lasting smiles. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University’s renowned orthodontic program, he holds a master’s degree, a certificate in craniofacial anomalies treatment, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He’s also an active member of leading organizations including the American Association of Orthodontics and the Virginia Dental Society. With published research in top orthodontic journals and a patented device for uprighting impacted molars, Dr. Ammar brings both innovation and heart to every patient experience. He’s an expert in a wide range of orthodontic treatments—from traditional braces and clear aligners to surgical and early interceptive care—and is dedicated to crafting personalized plans that fit each patient’s needs, all while making them feel like part of the Elite Family.
